Ways people engage with this practice
The Staying Practice is offered through a small number of relational and educational contexts. These are not packages designed to produce outcomes.
They are containers in which staying can be learned and practiced over time.
You do not need to know which offering is right for you in advance. Exploration is part of the work.
Individual work
Individual work offers a one-to-one relational space to notice experience as it unfolds.
Sessions move at a pace shaped by the nervous system, not by an agenda. Attention is given to what is present in the body, emotions, and patterns of leaving and returning. The emphasis is on staying with experience without pressure to resolve or perform.
This work is educational and reflective in nature. It is not psychotherapy, diagnosis, or medical treatment.
Group offerings
Group spaces provide an opportunity to practice staying in relationship.
Groups are structured to support safety, pacing, and shared learning. Listening is emphasized as much as speaking. Participants often find that being witnessed by others, without advice or fixing, deepens their capacity to remain present with themselves.
Groups may be time-limited or ongoing, depending on the offering.
Educational programs
Educational programs include courses, workshops, and guided materials designed to introduce and support the practice of staying over time.
These offerings focus on understanding experience through gentle attention, language, and repetition. They are designed to be accessible and self-paced, without requiring personal disclosure or prior experience.
Educational programs are not a substitute for therapy or clinical care.
Speaking and teaching
The Staying Practice is also shared through lectures, trainings, and speaking engagements in professional and organizational settings.
These sessions are oriented toward clinicians, educators, organizations, and communities interested in presence, nervous system awareness, and relational approaches to growth and resilience.
Content is adapted to the context and audience, with an emphasis on practical orientation rather than instruction.
A note on fit
This work often resonates with people who are thoughtful, capable, and accustomed to functioning well, yet sense that effort and insight alone have not brought ease.
If you are in acute crisis or require immediate clinical support, working with licensed local providers or emergency services is essential.
Getting started
If you are curious about engaging with this work, you are welcome to reach out.
There is no obligation to begin. A brief conversation can help clarify what support, if any, might be appropriate.
Curiosity is enough.
